TV and Audio Project – West Horsley

Recently completed project in West Horsley, Surrey. We have worked with this client for several months providing a number of services. We initially installed a satellite dish, Freeview digital TV aerial, FM and DAB radio aerials complete with cabling and distribution equipment to different rooms of the property. This was followed by the installation of a Panasonic Viera wall mounted TV together with connection and configuration of the clients Bose surround sound system. More recently we have completed the installation and configuration of a complete multi-room audio system with integrated music service and full colour touch keypads. The music server automatically synchronises with an Apple Mac based iTunes library to ensure the music system is always up to date.

Multi-room audio system, Winslow, Buckinghamshire

We were approached by Mr Meiris after another company had provided an unsatisfactory service.  The requirement here was to complete an installation of a multi-room audio system including the supply of the remainder of the system components and the installation and commissioning of the system.  We were also asked for guidance on appropriate aerials and positioning as well as routing the audio output of the existing SkyHD service into the audio system. After a number of calls with our team and a site visit a proposal was produced which was accepted by the client; the system commissioned successfully shortly afterwards.  The music system had twin radio tuners attached so that up to two different radio stations could be listened to in two different rooms simultaneously and in addition an iPod, docked with the music system could be controlled from any room in the home.  With the iPod music content and a wealth of radio stations to choose from this solution provided a true multi-room audio experience. Client comments: Excellent service, which is what I was not receiving from another outlet. System designed well and works fine.Mike Meiris

Multi-room audio system installation, Hertfordshire

Mr and Mrs Low based in Hertfordshire, contacted us after seeing our website and explained that a complete refurbishment project was to be undertaken and that they were exploring the options for multi-room audio systems. We spent time discussing the options available and how these different options would change how a person interacts with the system and the different music options available. The client settled on a NuVo multi-room audio system which included complete integration and synchronisation with their existing iTunes music library, located on a home computer. In addition a dedicated NuVo FM/DAB dual tuner radio was installed. To ensure a successful delivery we were asked to design the cabling infrastructure and manage the installation working closely with the elected building contractor. System design plans were prepared and we discussed the cabling infrastructure with the project electricians to ensure this critical first phase was completed. After a little while we were asked to expand our involvement in the project to supply and commission additional equipment to provide a centralised Digital TV system. We installed 3 SkyHD boxes for multi room SkyHD TV content alongside the audio system into a central wiring closet. Control of the ...

03 numbers are not premium rate or expensive to call. In fact OFCOM have made it a rule that all telcos must charge no more than they would for normal 01 or 02 numbers and they must include 03 numbers in the same call packages as they do for 01 and 02 numbers.

03 numbers are not like 0845 or 0870 which were always meant to be local and national, but retained their high prices as normal calls got much cheaper. The rules are clear that they are treated like normal numbers to call.

Whilst 03 numbers work like 01 and 02 numbers there is no geographic area associated with them, they are UK-Wide.

Why? You may ask! Well, for normal geographic area codes starting 01 and 02 a telco needs a block of numbers. We have blocks in many areas including London (020), Reading (0118), Bracknell (01344) and a few others. But there are hundreds of telcos each getting a block of at least 1000 numbers in each area code. This is very wasteful and means we are running out. With 03 each telco gets one block which covers the whole country and only when that is full do they get another. The 03 number space is vast and allows every telco to have as many numbers as they need for many years to come.

Many companies offering services nationally have no real need for a local number and so 03 are ideal. They are cheaper to run than 0800 but not ripping off customers like 0870 or premium numbers.

Even individuals would like to have a number that does not change when they move house, and 03 numbers are ideal for that.
