WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE-Kit is the perfect TV upgrade for Windows Media Center, with these great features:

• Digital or Analogue TV for your Media Center PC in a single slot PCI board. The WinTV-HVR-1300 includes an analogue TV receiver plus a Freeview DVB-T digital TV receiver, all on one PCI board!

• Plug and play TV tuner support for Windows XP Media Center Edition. Use the MyTV button in Media Center to watch, pause and record TV on your PC. And use Media Center's built-in TV scheduler to record your favourite TV shows to disk.

• WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE-Kit includes the Media Center remote control. Manage all Media Center functions with the hand held remote control. The Media Center remote control also has an IR transmitter to control the channels on a cable TV set top box or satellite receiver.

• Windows XP Media Center Edition supports up to two TV tuners, so you can watch one TV channel while recording another (or record two TV shows at once!) If your Windows Media Center PC already has one TV tuner, plug in the WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE as the second TV tuner!

With Microsoft's Media Center Edition and the WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE-Kit you can:

• Watch TV with the MyTV button in Media Center. Use Media Center's TV scheduler to automatically record your favourite TV shows.

• Watch Freeview digital TV (DVB-T) programmes from the internal DVB-T receiver, or watch analogue TV from the built-in analogue cable or aerial TV tuner.

• Pause analogue or digital TV with instant replay.

• Record analogue or digital TV programmes to disk using MPEG-2 compression. Playback your TV recordings at any time to your PC screen.

• Listen to FM radio.

• Use the included Media Center remote control to control all of the media functions, such as digital picture slide shows, music playlists, etc.

WinTV-HVR-1300 brings analogue or Freeview digital terrestrial TV (DVB-T) to your Media Center PC! If you live in an area where you can receive Freeview digital TV, WinTV-HVR-1300 supports the MyTV button on Media Center for viewing, pause, recording and playback of digital TV on your PC screen.

If you live in an area where you cannot currently receive Freeview digital TV, the WinTV-HVR-1300 can still be used to watch and record analogue TV with Media Center.

For Digital Terrestrial reception, a high gain aerial is recommended. The WinTV-HVR-1300 uses a rooftop aerial for DVB-T reception in the same way that most people currently receive their analogue television programmes. Some viewers will need to replace their aerials to receive digital transmissions if the installation is old or in poor condition. Digital Terrestrial coverage is improving all the time as digital terrestrial television transmitters are continuously being updated. However it may take some time for coverage to reach particular areas of the country. Your local retailer will be able to provide up to date coverage information for your area based on a post code database.
