Watch and record analogue cable TV, digital Freeview and High Definition digital satellite TV, all from one PCI board!

Digital TV now comes in High Definition. High Definition DVB-S2 satellite TV brings the ultimate TV experience to the PC screen. HD gives you the best quality video and CD quality audio. Record movies in the full HD H.264 format to your PCs hard disk! But if you can't currently receive high definition digital satellite TV, the WinTV-HVR-4000 can still be used to watch and record cable TV, Freeview or standard free-to-air digital satellite TV.

Freeview DVB-T digital terrestrial TV & radio on your PC! Watch more than 50 Freeview digital terrestrial TV broadcasts and digital terrestrial radio on your PC, with a simple rooftop aerial*. WinTV-HVR 4000 will also support High Definition DVB-T channels (when available).

Analogue cable TV on your PC screen (terrestrial antenna, too). Connect WinTV-HVR-4000 to cable TV and you can watch and record TV programmes to disk. Record your TV shows (or your home videos) using "Good, Better or Best" MPEG-2 compression. Schedule FM radio recordings in WMA 32, 64 or 128 K/bits! You can also receive analogue teletext.

Digital Video Recorder: Record analogue, DVB-T or DVB-S TV in high quality MPEG-2, or high definition digital TV in H.264! Use CyberLink PowerCinema's TV scheduler to automatically record your favourites TV shows, on a daily, weekly or once only schedule. Or use the free Electronic Program Guide for digital TV to have an overview of all up coming programmes!

Hauppauge's remote control makes the WinTV-HVR-4000 easy to use - Control all of Media Center's functions of CyberLink PowerCinema with the ergonomic remote control. Change channels, adjust audio volume, start recordings, play music, start a slide show, all from the comfort of your living room couch!

Notes:

* For Analogue TV reception, you need an antenna or cable TV connection.

* For Digital Terrestrial reception, a high gain aerial is recommended. The WinTV-HVR-4000 uses a rooftop aerial for DVB-T reception in the same way that most people currently receive their analogue television programmes. Some viewers will need to replace their aerials to receive digital transmissions if the installation is old or in poor condition. You cannot receive DVB-T using cable TV connection. * For Digital Satellite reception, your satellite dish must be aimed at a satellite which is transmitting free-to-air Sat TV. For example, Astra and Eutelsat provide free-to-air satellite channels.

* Some HD Digital Satellite channels are available on Astra and Eutelsat (via DVB-S2 transmission).

* There is no Pay TV reception with WinTV-HVR-4000 today. WinTV-HVR-4000 can receive only free-to-air satellite channels until our Pay TV module (CAM reader) will became available as accessories in 2007.

* DVB-S/DVB-S2, DVB-T Radio is not DAB Radio.
